Exploring Body Image
This session helps young people understand the relationship between body image and marketing by exploring the Kellogg's Special K "look good on your own terms" advertising campaign. Young people begin by reading about this award-winning, controversial campaign which uses humour to skewer traditional advertising stereotypes about thinness.

Giant Jenga
The exercise involves the young people using a giant Jenga puzzle to learn about themselves and each other. It is alot of fun and can be used to explore issues based work or as an Ice breaker activity.

Launch an Egg
The activity involves the group working together to design and build a catapult that is capable of firing an egg once completed. The exercise challenges young people to think outside the box and to share their ideas. It develops planning skills and improves attitude through increased motivation.

A small activity exploring how well we can hear something and interpret it

Identity Session Gender 2
This session explores where do our influences come from and how do these influences shape our personalities?

Alcohol Risks
Using a series of character cards the group are asked to consider and discuss risks that might be associated with alcohol misuse.

Ping Pong Pond
Is to retrieve the ping pong balls without entering the square using only the equipment provided

Points on the floor
This task will enable the group to support and trust each other.

Polite Party
This activity is a card game which encourages young people to ask each other questions

Reds and Blues
The activity will enable young people to understand how (powerful) words can be so upsetting to others

Reds and Yellows
This activity will explore negotiation, trust and honesty

Respect, Tolerate, Challange
This session will enable the group to have a range of discussions, to listen and respect other people's views and opinions.

Roll a Dice
The activity involves each individual to roll a dice to reveal more of who they are

Sefton Town
Sefton Town is a role play exercise where all participants are divided into 4 groups. Each group takes on the role of a different community board to discuss a piece of available land in Sefton Town. The groups include: A Car Company Members of the City Council A Residents Group An Environmental Group

Session Delivery
This activity will encourage the young people to work individually and to work together as a team, it will also enhance on their confidence and develop their skills and abilities.

The great debate
This activity encourages all group members to have their say and participate in the discussions

The rod
This task involves the group to work together to place a rod on their index fingers then placing it on the floor without dropping it.

Race hate crime session 1
This activity will give an insight for the young people to have an understanding of race hate crime.

Racism Task
The young people will gain more knowledge and understanding of racism

Your group is to take on the role of a Social Services Committee presently holding a meeting to consider the plight of Tracey Congdon.

Trust exercise
The group will work together to build on their relationships which enable them to complete the task which is built on trust

Town Initiative Task
This activity will focus on how young people will approach members of the public concentrating on their attitudes

Sexual Health 1
This exercise encourages each participant to consider how sex and relationships relate to other aspects of their lives. It can be used to produce ideas for particular sessions or to build an agenda for a serious of sessions. The exercise can also be used as introduction to sex education.

This activity involves group discussions, and enables young people to listen and respect other peoples views and opinions.

This activity encourages all group members to have their say and participate in the discussions

This session will get the young people to think about what words mean to them.

This is a step by step guide on how to check your testies (self examination)

Sexual Health 7 (Puberty)
This activity will distinguish puberty facts from myths

Sexual Health 8 (Health and Hygiene)
This activity will inform young people how to keep an adult body healthy, clean and free from infections.

Sexual Health 9 (Breast, self examination)
This is a step by step guide on how to self examine breasts (females)

Minefield
This activity involves the young people to work in pairs to guide their partner who is blindfolded from one end of the room to the other without touching the mines. The exercise challenges young people to try other ideas to guide their partner through the minefield. It enables the young people to use other senses, as well as the feeling of being blindfolded.

Steps to using a condom
The exercise encourages the young people in their own learning the correct way on how to use a condom

Anyone for Tennis!
This exercise involves the group passing a number of balls around the cricle in a set pattern.

Back to back
This is a fun based aimed at motivating the group and removing some of the initial ackwardness experienced by new groups. It can also be used by established groups as a warm up. This is a fun and energetic activity.

Moon Mission
This activity can be used in a range of situations to support young people to learn the names of others and mix as a group

Agreements
To set agreements with the group focusing on what is acceptable and unacceptable behaviour. Also what are they going to give and what do they want from the programme.

Allsorts
This activity is enjoyable, entertaining and educational. The group have to present their tasks to facilitators Enables all group members to participate, encourages respect and listening skills. Provides potential forum for discussion of tasks completed. It also enables young people to use their imagination and express themselves in different ways.

Build a tower
The task involves the group to work together to build the tallest free standing tower. The knowledge and skills gained through this task can be used to further explore attitudes and resulting behaviours

RO-CO
RO/CO is a communication exercise that enables the facilitator to gain relevant feedback from the group. The exercise encourages both the participation of the group in their own learning and in supporting each other to address common concerns facing young people.

Communication exercise
This activity will enable the young person to have an understanding why communication is important and to ensure what we communicate is understood by the person who is listening

Community Task
This activity breaks down the barriers of young people and pensioners; it allows each person to understand each other and to communicate in a respectful way. The exercise encourages young people to reflect on what they have learned and achieved through their own involvement, to have empathy to plan organise, to take part in new challenges and experiences

Drop an Egg
This activity involves the group working together to design and build an egg protector. The knowledge and skills gained through this task can be used to further explore attitudes and resulting behaviours.

Electric Fence
For the group to work together as a team, to share their ideas and for everyone to participate and have their say.

Facilitation Skills
This activity is for the young people to take the lead and encourage the group to communicate with each other.

Feedback
This activity is a feel good factor, the young people will give feedback to their peers.

Global Trainers Quiz
This activity will show how much the young people know about global issues involving trainers

Nightline
Nightline is a combination of trust, team work and communication. The group are blindfolded and asked to follow a rope through an obstacle course.

Shepherd and Sheep
This activity involves the young people to work in pairs to guide their partner who is blindfolded from one end of the room to the other without touching the mines.

Mingle, Mingle
This activity is for the young people to have fun, create an atmosphere that is comfortable for everyone and to mix up the young people into groups.

Pairs
This activity enables the young people to work in pairs, then within a large group

Back to Back
The young people will stand in two lines facing each other, they will listen to instruction on what to do next within the exercise.

Back to your seat
The young people sit in ca circle each given a number, two numbers are shouted out the young people have to get back to their seat as quick as they can

Blind Maze
Young people to complete a maze blindfolded with support from the rest of their team

Build a Bridge
The young people will work together to build a bridge using playing cards

Build a Pyrimid
Young people to sit in a circle, back to back and build a pyrimid with the person in front of them

Counter Game
This activity is high energy, each young person is given a counter the aim is to protect your counter and get as many counters from your peers.

Crossed / Uncrossed
This activity enables the young person to concentrate and try to solve the task.

Effects of Smoking
To gain more knowledge about smoking and focusing on what the laws are around smoking.

This sesson is a simple quiz that can be run with a group of young people to help them gain further knowledge and understanding about drugs and alcohol issues.

Anti social behaviour 1
This activity explores with the young people what exactly an Asbo and Abc order is, how someone might receive one and the consequences of such 'label'

Anti social behaviour 2
Young people explore a range of value based statements relating to 'anti social' behaviour and then must make a decision as to whether they agree or disagree or are unsure about their opinion. This is then used to explore a range of belief's attitudes and value systems and the reasoning behind them.

Domestic Violence
The activity explores the groups understanding of what domestic violence is supporting their learning and understanding. They gain knowledge and increase awareness from statistical information used and by completing in a questionaire.

Know Your Group Cards
Card based game designed to help young people workng within teams or groups to consider the personal skills and qualities individuals contribute.

Project Management with Young People
A project planning and management tool, useful for groups planning projects and activities, particularly where those projects am to be developmental for the young people involved.

Young persons PR project
The session aims to change people's negative peceptions of young people by running an activity or campaign that shows the best side of our young people.

Self Esteem
This activity will enable the young people to give positive feedback to each other

Gift
The activity provides young people with the opportunity to use their imagination and to use their initiative by designing a gift for another member of the group. It can be used as a team building exercise or as a reflective exercise.

Gender messages in alcohol advertising 1
This is the first part of a three part programme In this session, young people think critically about culturally inherited gender stereotypes, and explore how those stereotypes about men and women are promoted and reinforced through the images and messages in alcohol advertising.

Thiis task will inform the group on the law and gain knowledge on drugs

This session is for young people to explore what is fact and what is fiction regarding alcohol

This is a quiz on alcohol that will get young people discussing what they do and think about drinking

Alcohol and Advertising
Looks at different groups in society that deliver messages to the public about drinking

When new staff get together a good way to explore, understand and agree group and individual values

Goal Setting
The session is used to support the young people to focus on setting goals that are realistic and that aim to help them to achieve their individual ambitions. It uses a series of questions and discussions to help young people think about how they might make their aspirations achievable

Stress
This session will enable the young people to combat stress, how to deal and what emotions that are attached to stress.
